We gave our pals @ChamoisButtr an Epic entry. They can't use it...so they're GIVING IT AWAY (with a year's supply of chamois cream!) Enter by midnight on Friday! https://t.co/M0VQcXXlsd
Mirabegron, I’m looking at you. I die inside a little bit each time a woman tries it, it works, and then they discover they can’t afford it and go back to wetting themselves @AstellasUS
I really thought that we were getting past this in Gynecology but because I have seen a run of these patients lately:
It is NEVER appropriate to do a hysterectomy for prolapse without an apical vaginal repair. NEVER. It is totally unethical and hurts women.
The primary mechanism of recurrence s/p TVH + USLS or vaginal mesh hysteropexy was apical descent. Greater inferior descent of the apex & perineal body, lengthening of the anterior vaginal wall, increased gh w/strain were associated with anatomic failure. https://t.co/5xNogomSNJ
I know this isn’t a perfect fix, but it’s a start, and if everyone who believes in #parity puts in a bit of elbow grease, real change is possible. There have already been some great strides forward. Let’s keep the ball rolling.
We hope to see you here at 8:00 pm ET for the next @FPMRSJournal #fprmschat! You still have time to read the subject article - access it for free below ⬇️
Different reference ranges based on race are inappropriate, without scientific basis, and perpetuate inequities in healthcare.
@UpToDate, It’s past time to get rid of race based reference ranges in hematology.
Please RT and amplify. @PTMcGann

Nulliparous women have a higher rate of stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Compared to women with no SUI, the possible potential risk factors are age (>30 years), higher BMI, and abnormal type I muscle fiber of the pelvic floor. https://t.co/10vjVW8Vih
