For those with limited knowledge about the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, here are some important facts as the world marks its 30th Commemoration:
⚪ From April to July 1994, more than one million people were brutally murdered in an attempt to wipe out the Tutsi population.
⚪ The Genocide had been prepared and trialled in the years leading up to 1994, and was made possible by decades of segregation, discrimination and hate speech - including by colonial powers.
⚪ The death of President Habyarimana did not cause the Genocide, but was rather a pretext to implement the planned mass killings.
⚪ Lists of Tutsi to be killed were prepared and broadcast on radio by the genocidal government.
⚪ The international community ignored repeated warnings, failed to intervene and even reduced the UN peacekeeping presence when the Genocide begun.
⚪ Nowhere was safe for the Tutsi. Thousands were killed in churches and places of worship, often with the support of church leaders.
⚪ The Genocide against the Tutsi was stopped by the Rwandan Patriot Army, led by Paul Kagame.

Sudanese Doctors Association has announced a full collapse of the health care system in Sudan with a major ongoing health crisis.
90% of the hospitals in the capital Khartoum are out of service. The remaining hospitals are lacking medical staff and supplies and those working are being regularly targeted and killed.
Patients transfer is done in a very unsafe circumstances and it’s nearly impossible sometimes to actually get them to the hospitals.
PLEASE! Do not let this just be another trend, Sudan and Sudanese people need you!
Do not make it become a normal scene!
