Hence, Afghanistan is still officially a member of the ICC, and the ICC continues to have full jurisdiction. Moreover, the ICC can ask its members to arrest individuals wanted by the Court even if those individuals are from countries that are not, or no longer, its members. (5/5)

Article 127 mandates that such a notice if a state wishes to withdraw from the Court, and stipulates that the withdrawal becomes effective one year later. Even after withdrawal, the Court retains jurisdiction over crimes committed before the withdrawal becomes effective. (4/5)
