Currently Yobe State govt is working on attracting and retention of health workers by providing fully furnished accommodation; rural deployment; improving policies affecting HRH;Gender issues by enrolling more girls in intensive training prog to be absorbed in comm.midwifery

The resilience of Yobe #Healthproviders helped the government to stabilize at the height of insurgency. "Most of them didn't relocate even when the crisis was at its peak, they would still come out once the coast is clear and attend to patients" Dr. Garba Fika ES YSHMB

33 PHCs and 2 secondary facilities were vandalized across7 LGAs at the height of insurgency in Yobe State. This placed an enormous burden on the Health System especially with the influx of IDPs from Maiduguri. #Yobelearningevent #Healthsystemresilience
