We're so proud of our volunteer Carmel who is not only a fabulous AV but also our new branch chair. We couldn't be luckier to have her, and all our other wonderful volunteers, supporting our work.
Lizzie cared for her husband John, who died of MND in December 2021.
Lizzie, pictured middle below, said: “Carers are kind of caught up in their own little world of coordinating services and support, while trying to limit showing the frustrations of doing so in front of their loved one."
"I honestly don't know what I would have done without our ASC Adele, and our Association Visitor, Carmel. Those two women kept me afloat. Sometimes I just needed someone to act as a bit of a sounding board to validate my thoughts.”
We have lots of support for carers. Visit our Carers Hub for more info 💙 https://t.co/F4rKleODpu
