NM Highland’s HC Ron Hudson is putting something special together in Las Vegas, NM.

Even though there was only 2:13 remaining in the game against #1 CO Mines, and despite being down big, as were most teams that played Mines at that point in the game, there was no quit.

When Mines’ RB broke into the open field and was on his way in for a 70 yard TD, Highland’s freshman Markel Lewis went all out, chased him down, and stopped him short of the end zone. Lewis’ effort was not only extremely impressive but it was also extremely inspirational.

It’s a process, and Coach Hudson has things progressing in the right direction.

🏀 Final | @NMHU_Basketball moves to 2-0 in the RMAC with a 75-61 win over Chadron State in Las Vegas on Saturday. Kenard Richardson scored 20 points and AC Curry added 19 points in the win.

The Cowboys are at Fort Lewis on Friday and Adams State on Saturday.
