Presenting current and future projects at Itatinga, Brazil. Continuing the work of @Cirad and @UMR_EcoSols in partnership with @ESALQ/USP in this context. My research will focus on biogeochemical cycling and soil-tree nutrition in eucalyptus and mixed-native species plantations
🌎The landscapes with 40% or more human land-use area decrease the #Brazilian Cerrado's burned area and hinder its #climate responsiveness, while climate effects are noticeable in smaller human-influenced areas.

#N2O hotspots field site experiments coming to an end, together with @yujialiuu we have collected our final samples and are busy removing the last of our monitoring equipment. End of a fascinating field season, now to process our samples ! @science_ku@DFF_raad
So delighted that the brilliant @Germon_Amandine has received this well-deserved position ! And really look forward to being colleagues again and seeing her cat. Bring on the roots !🔥
I am thrilled to announce that I got a permanent researcher position @Cirad. I will be joining the Eco&Sols Research unit in 2024.
Thank you to all those who have crossed my path and played a role in this achievement.
Root systems better hold on tight!
Excellent Expert Lecture - missed attending online so tuned in today (while processing soil samples) @Thuls_M. With a different research focus (although where microbial communities are also essential), fascinating to delve into the world of population gut microbiomes #microbiomes
UP EXPERT LECTURE: “By screening African populations, we’ve got a higher potential of finding novel prebiotics, probiotics and other antibiotics just by harnessing the power of our gut microbiomes,” said UP’s Prof Thulani Makhalanyane. https://t.co/H1zJtVuXmf
Very happy to present this incubation study with some datasets, still lots to do to unravel the mechanics behind #Denitrification hot spots in Denmark
