Act FAST (Facial Drooping, Arm Weakness, Slurred Speech, Time to call 9-1-1) has its limitations, so more and more professionals are switching to BE FAST which adds Balance Loss and Eyesight Changes to the list of potential signs of stroke.
The Minnesota Stroke Association works to ensure that people know what to look for so no stroke goes undiagnosed. Metrics are changing as more research is conducted and more findings are released. BE FAST gives you more to look out for and more opportunities to identify stroke.
