Barrister Maria Steen has said she is "grateful and humbled" to those who wrote her name on the ballot as part of spoiled votes in the Presidential Election

🟢This great lady should have been on the ballot paper today
Maria would also have shown true leadership if elected as president.
🟢Real conservative voices that put the our own Irish people first might be silenced now but we will have our say in the future
@neilsteen I would’ve been very proud to have Maria Steen as our President. A class act 👌 intelligent, articulate, eloquent, and elegant. 🇮🇪 Please God there’ll be another day 🙏
Huge thanks to Mullingar Lions Club for their amazing €10,000 donation to Midlands Simon Community 💛
Your generosity helps us support people experiencing homelessness across the Midlands. 🙏💙

Ireland needs a President that is from outside the ‘bubble’, a President who has fought the good fight on the side of the people and won, a President with the dignity and grace to represent our country as our head of state. A President who will be a guardian of the constitution without fear or favour. A President who will represent Irish families, our values, our concerns. A President for all of Ireland.🇮🇪 ☘️
There is one person who stands out above all that will rise to the duty, occupy the office with the dignity our country deserves. That is President Maria Steen. Please get on board the Steen Machine. #MariaSteenforPresident. #MariaSteen
Aontú has found out that the government is still giving failed asylum seekers leave to remain in Ireland.
The state spends billions on a system to differentiate between those who need asylum and those who don't......
Any then ignores the results.

From 2019 to 2023, ¼ of applications for asylum failed.
Last year it was 65%.
In January this year it was 80%.
For 5 years the gov was not implementing the law.
80% of the €1bn cost to accommodate asylum seekers is being spent accommodating people who are not asylum seekers.
'In Britain and across Europe free speech, I fear, is in retreat'

There are people in Ireland that care (a lot) more about sending the right virtue signals about green policy/climate change than they do about the consequences downstream for vulnerable members of our rural communities. There is absolutely *nothing* Ireland can do about carbon impacts on the global climate if China, India and the U.S. aren't taking a lead. We can do nothing that makes a material difference there, we can do a lot to make a material difference to the vulnerable in our communities.
If we're serious about wanting to reduce carbon and still have a growing economy and cheap power for the people who live here, install Small Modular Reactors. If we wont do that, all this talk of wanting to reduce carbon is a load of hogwash.
