It’s Dispatch Appreciation Week and we couldn’t be more grateful to them for being our lifeline.
Our hearts are heavy today over the loss of a fellow Deputy in Kittitas County and the wounding of a Kittitas PD officer assisting in a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle. A grave reminder of the dangers the men and women of law enforcement face daily protecting our community.
Knights Ferry Search Update: The body of 5-year-old Matilda Ortiz was located and recovered from the Stanislaus River. She was located by volunteers searching the area at around 4:45 this afternoon.

This poor family took this amazing Christmas photo last night, unaware it would be their last together. Officer Singh would be shot and killed 5 hours later. Prayers for the Newman Police and their families.

Very saddened to hear the tragic news of the loss of Cpl Singh from Newman PD. He was murdered this morning during a traffic stop. Please keep his family, department, and friends in your thoughts and prayers. He leaves behind a wife, infant son and K9 Sam. RIP brother 🙏🏼⚫️🔵⚫️
