Dismayed by lack of transparency and questionable behaviour by some within EMUK
Sunlight is the best disinfectant, & scrutiny has never been more important
Thread 1/13
The EMUK recently (11/09) held a meeting to change its constitution.
The @euromove National Executive were formally warned that the meeting was both unconstitutional and, as planned, significantly distant from best practice.
The warning was ignored.
Thread 5/5
However, this is not enough.
They might still keep your data.
To be sure, you should write an email to Patrick McCoy (Data Manager & Data Controller) at [email protected] asking him to delete all of the personal data that they hold about you.
Thread 1/5
An email issued by @euromove today has given 2 days' notice that they plan to share members' personal data with
"affiliated companies or organisations that we work with or that share similar purposes or objectives to us"
Thread 4/5
Anyone who does not want every political party (or every Tom, Richard, and Harry) to possibly have access to their personal data should unsubscribe from the EM by using this link NOW

@BrexitRage We understand that there were additional messages that were deleted because even the author realised that they were too close to being defamatory. Perhaps you are lucky not to have seen them.
The WhatsApp group where much of this smearing takes place is overseen by Anna Bird and Lord Andrew Adonis. Andrew does not like uncomfortable truths and blocks people who he disagrees with. Thus I have no route to resolution with him. 2/
#Labour#Grassroots#Europe#Brexit
For some months I have attempted to resolve a worrying problem with a concerted smear campaign against me by Grassroots for Europe and The European Movement. I have had no reply in private from CEO Anna Bird, so I have decided to go public. Here is the summary 1/
@euromove
@cmcknz77@MODEMUK So, when Richard Wilson and his "gang" claim that I have damaged EM, I must report that Lord Adonis achieved more to kill their reputation in one decision than I could do in my lifetime.
@cmcknz77@MODEMUK Adonis made the decision to target 44 Tory seats that included strong pro-EU Conservatives. It led to the loss of the Conservative European Forum from the EU and its inability to claim cross party credentials. A major disaster
@noneedforgreed@BrexitRage @RebootKent @AngryRemainCons @WWWednesdayLPL Unfortunately, it's not THAT Richard Wilson.
The Richard Wilson in the WA group is the Vice Chair of EMUK, who, along with Peter Packham (from the same group in Leeds) gives every appearance of trying to de-platform Peter Cook, who is a long standing anti-Brexit campaigner.
For those of you who would like to see what someone trying to "deliberately damage EM"* looks like, you can see his WWW session here: https://t.co/nukuwSCoxv
*he has not, to our knowledge, tried to damage EM. Perhaps @Wilson4VC or @euromove would like to provide evidence.
End
They're at it again.
In a sub-plot to the dubious events that led to Lord Adonis becoming chair of EMUK, a number of figures within the organisation organised a smear campaign against Peter Cook (@BrexitRage). His crime was to stand against their preferred candidate.

So, the answers to the questions we posed the other day (who said this, in which group, and who gave it the thumbs up?), are:
Richard Wilson (EMUK VC)
the EMUK National Council group chat
we don't know, but can guess who gave it the thumbs up.

@AngryRemainCons @euromove Here is a WhatsApp msg referring to Mr Peter Cook.
Would anyone like to guess which group chat it appeared in, who was the author, and who gave it the thumbs-up?
