IMPORTANT: Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh (Dera Sacha Sauda chief) granted parole once again, this time for 30 days. It’s the 16th time he has been out on parole since his conviction in August 2017.

Massive Encroachment drive carried outside the Howrah Station last night, uprooting hundreds of Hawkers.
Most of these hawkers are Biharis and have voted for BJP this election.
The Demographic change in Howrah/Kolkata region is unimaginable. Hardly anybody speaks Bengali Now.
#WATCH | Kolkata, West Bengal | On West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari's call for stricter laws on mic and loudspeaker, Imam of Nakhoda Masjid Maulana Mohammad Shafiq Qasmi says, “This rule was not made by the BJP government but by the Pollution Control Board… As per the law, there were no orders stating removal of the mic, neither from the Pollution Control Board nor the Supreme Court, but a restriction to allow the use of the mic in between 75-80 dB in the industrial areas, 70-75 dB for commercial areas and 65-70 dB for residential areas. And for the silence zone, the order for the sound restriction is 40-45 dB. However, the police are asking to remove the mic, which is wrong. They should act as per the law, and we will also do the same…” (16.05)
Nahid Islam, Bangladeshi MP & the head of the anti-India NCParty spews venom against India:
"Mamata Banerjee has just lost election not our support, she should not leave but fight with Delhi, 17 Crore Bangladeshi Muslims are with her."
I hear you, and I don’t doubt your intent or your commitment to minorities. But respect also means being honest with each other, especially in moments like this.
On the ground, shops of Muslims are being vandalised and there are already rumours of a Muslim TMC worker being killed. In such a situation, when you say “let’s not waste our prayers,” it comes across as deeply hurtful. It sounds less like political frustration and more like abandoning people who are already under attack.
You mentioned AJUP and ISF damage, and yes, every election has factors. But can an entire community be blamed for a few seats? By your own party’s numbers and independent estimates, nearly 90% of Muslim voters still backed TMC. That's the total consolidation of Muslim votes for TMC. Muslim candidates also won in large numbers. So where is the betrayal?
Concerns should not selectively apply to a few seats where results are inconvenient.
It’s also important to ask harder questions inward. How did the BJP expand its space in Bengal at all? What role did soft Hindutva politics, temple spending with public money, allowing RSS proliferation and alleged Waqf mismanagement play in alienating sections of voters?
And when alternative voices like AIMIM enter the fray, most of the time Muslim voters in a state still consolidate behind regional parties, TMC in Bengal, Samajwadi in UP, to avoid splitting the anti-BJP vote. As a result, parties like Owaisi’s often end up with little to no gains and yet they are quickly labelled a “B-team.” That framing dismisses legitimate political agency. Disagreement is fair, but delegitimising voters is not.
No one is asking for certificates, and none are being given. But in a moment where people are facing violence and fear, the language we use matters. Accountability cannot be one-sided, and solidarity cannot be conditional.
@MahuaMoitra
Truth about this property. It was a normal building, Durga puja used to organized at the gate of this property for many year so the hindu onwer sold this property to a Muslim businessman for 1+cr and some people objected this deal and went to the court.
The body of Maulana Tausif Raza was found near railway tracks in Bareilly. In a video statement given to a local news channel, his wife has raised concerns about the circumstances surrounding his death. Additionally, an audio recording of a phone call between Raza and his wife has surfaced, in which he can be heard urgently asking her to inform the police about some men who were allegedly harassing him.
However, Bareilly police have stated that Raza was sitting near the door of a train coach, fell asleep, and accidentally slipped onto the tracks.
Maulana Tousif Raza Mazhari’s final phone call to his wife:
“Drunk men grabbed me on the train, they’re beating and abusing me.” He begs her to call the police. Passengers are right there… but no one helps.
This is a man reporting his own assault in real time.
This is brutal killing.
Almost a month ago, a Muslim women was brutally lynched to death. She was forced to drink urine when she asked for water, all while she was on Ramadan fast. Now, the perpetrator of this heinous crime was given bail and received a heroic welcome. Is this not the sign of a deeply rotten society?
Amit’s IQ is low but I didn’t imagine it’d be this low.
An “encounter” is an extra-judicial killing.
The claim on paper always is “the accused fired on us so we shot back”.
How does a person become an “encounter specialist”? Does it mean he’s a specialist in predicting that an accused is going to fire & he will shoot them dead?
These are the THUGS in the guise of police observers who have been deployed in Bengal for the elections.
And tadipar’s hamster Amit is proudly proclaiming it.
4th May. The tadipar & his goondas (in uniform or otherwise) will finally know how Bengal fights back.
Nida's father who was once proud of his daughter for securing a job in a multinational company, says he now regrets encouraging her to work. 💔
“It would have been better if she had not worked at all. Such terrible things are being said about her, none of which are true. We have been so upset. Her mother has taken ill,” said the father who runs a timber business in the city. “My daughter has not done any of these things, she just went to work every day and got in trouble just for saying hi and bye to people” 💔
