May 31st, 1983 - The Philadelphia 76ers swept the Los Angeles Lakers 4–0 to win the 1983 NBA Championship. Malone helped cap off the sweep with an astonishing 24 points and 23 rebounds, securing an NBA Finals MVP.
May 29th, 2010 - Philadelphia Phillies ace Roy Halladay pitched the 20th perfect game in Major League Baseball history, defeating the Florida Marlins 1–0.
May 27th, 1975 - The Flyers defeat the Buffalo Sabres in 6 games to win back-to-back Stanley Cups. The final win would take place on the road, with a 2-0 shutout win. Bernie Parent won his second consecutive Conn Smythe Trophy as the postseason MVP.
May 26th, 1987 - Flyers win game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals to stay alive in the series. This time with another comeback win after being down 3-1 in the game. They would win 4-3 thanks to big performances from Rick Tocchet, Pelle Eklund, and Brian Propp.
May 22nd, 1987 - In Game 3 of the 1987 Stanley Cup Finals, the Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Edmonton Oilers 5-3 at the Spectrum. They made history by executing the first-ever comeback from a 3-0 deficit in a Stanley Cup Finals game.
May 20th, 2001 - The Philadelphia 76ers hold on to beat the Toronto Raptors in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals, 88-87. They would advance to play the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals.
May 19th, 1974 - The Philadelphia Flyers win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history, defeating the Boston Bruins 1-0 to close the series out in 6 games.

Allen wasn't the only one of the 76ers to win an award that year. Larry Brown won Coach of the Year, Dikembe Mutombo won Defensive Player of the Year, and Aaron Mckie won 6th Man of the Year.

May 14th, 2010 - The Philadelphia Flyers defeat the Boston Bruins in Game 7 of the ECSF after falling 0-3 to begin the series. They became the 3rd NHL team in history to pull off this feat.
May 12th, 2010 - The Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Boston Bruins 2–1 in Game 6 of the 2010 Eastern Conference Semifinals to tie the series at 3–3.
This made the Flyers the first NHL team in 35 years to force a Game 7 after trailing a series 3–0.
