Welcome from Headingley where @BumbleCricket and I are doing both games for the BBC Sport website and app and the men’s match on BBC Radio Leeds all frequencies, with @KH_BBCLeeds both presenting and trying to ensure that the only Roses clash remains on the field… #bbccricket
9 years ago, on London Bridge, 8 were killed and 48 injured. Unarmed, Roy Larner faced the attackers head-on, saving countless lives. His heroism will never be forgotten. #London#Hero#TheLionOfLondonBridge
Deluded self centred politician who lives in a world where if anyone disagrees with his ideology they are branded something worse than the devil. He claims to believe in democracy but spouts the dangerous opposite.
I despise Sadiq Khan. He's destroying London and instead of listening to the concerns of ordinary Brits, he calls them "far-right".
No good faith debate.
No self-awareness.
No empathy.
Just nasty, low IQ, lazy name calling.
The man is a disgrace.
FT West Ham 3-0 Leeds United
Even with the injury situation that was as sleepy and sloppy a Leeds performance as we've seen for a long time. No one in the away end seems to mind particularly. 14th beats the hell out of 18th.

Pep Guardiola is one of only two managers in English top-flight history to manage in 10 seasons and finish in the top-four each season.
The other? Don Revie with Leeds United between 1964-65 and 1973-74. #lufc
That’s a very good summing up of their situation. As an away fan the best description of the away end I heard was “If you’re in the top tier the centre circle is in a different post code to the away end”
Karren Brady’s promise of “a world-class team in a world-class stadium” rings even more hollow now. West Ham United should never have moved to a soulless public athletics track. Great move for the board but not for the fans. Leaving Upton Park made sense for commercial reasons but not sporting/atmosphere.
Daniel Levy was right. The Olympic Stadium should have been knocked down and a proper football stadium built there. It is a good site. But the Olympic lobby and politicians got all protective and precious about the 2012 legacy. How often does this country need a huge athletics arena anyway?
Yes, West Ham won a European trophy since they’ve left Upton Park. But London Stadium was always a problem, always a passion-killer, fans distant from the ones they love, the players, and limited potential for increased revenue streams.
Other reasons behind club’s demise. Lack of leadership in the boardroom. Recruitment an issue, too. What a mess. Record losses, fears over future of Fernandes, Summerville and Nuno, intensified protests against chairman Sullivan.
Relegation likely. Two points adrift of safety following 3-1 defeat to Newcastle. Wretched goal difference (-22) compared to Spurs’ (-9). Spurs need only a point from Chelsea away (hard) or David Moyes’ Everton at home to guarantee survival and condemn West Ham. Can Moyes do West Ham a favour? The club who let him go. West Ham need to beat ex-Spur Joe Rodon and Leeds at home anyway.
West Ham look doomed to the drop. They will return but need better ownership. And many of their fans have been warning of this perfect storm for some time. #WHUFC
Back from The Den. A fantastic season ends with an absolute whimper. Our lack of any real strikers and bizarre substitutions at 0-0 cost us badly.
After finishing 3rd - we choked, badly. That's the be all and end all of it.
Still, a good season that will be remembered for years.
My 5 year old boy does football training. At the end of the session they do a ‘man of the match’ type thing.
My boy is always desperate to win it. He often doesn’t.
I explained to him the other day that he didn’t win simply because he wasn’t good enough. That he deffo could win, but he just needs to be better, try harder, be more focused etc.
One of the other mums heard me & was aghast at what I said. She told me she is going to get ‘runner-up stickers’ for all the kids who don’t make it.
I said no thanks, not for my son.
Kids need to learn that they can be the best, but they must apply themselves & dust themselves off when it doesn’t go their way. No consolation prizes, no ‘everyone’s a winner’ etc. There are winners & losers. Wanna win - do your best. Can’t make it? Don’t worry, go & smash something else. Play to your strengths & never, ever play the victim.
If more parents & institutions had this attitude, the country would be in a better place - if I say so myself 😉
