Last Saturday, MPEDD took part in the #NSBE STEAMfest where we demonstrated our Cooling Tower and PFR to students K-12. We also got the chance to meet with a few business professionals. #umich
We are busy this month! On Friday we took part in the K-Grams Kids' Fair where we showed elementary students our PFR and Cooling Tower. They were excited to feel the temperature difference of the water and to control the valves to let the blue and red water mix. 😃
On Sunday, we exchanged presentations with students at the Youth Science Expo at Forsythe Middle School! They were there to present their science projects, and we joined with grad students and other U-M student orgs to engage them further with interactive demos of our projects.
We had fun yesterday demonstrating our PFR model and talking to interested students about our other process equipment models at the Undergraduate Symposium!
Here we go, #MeetTheTeamMonday! We have our PFR lead Collins Enwereuzo (left) with former co-lead Tristan. When not working on improving the PFR, he’s a ChemE 230 tutor, does research with Dr. Fogler, and is involved with the Christian student organization Cru!
For #MeetTheTeamMonday we have our Distillation Column lead Jason Fanning! Outside of MPEDD he is also a member of AICHE and works in an environment biotechnical laboratory!
For #MeetTheTeamMonday we have Ian Clark, our awesome Solids Processing Lead! Here he is helping run a PFR demonstration, which is what he devoted his time to before becoming a lead. When not working on MPEDD he is also an avid member of the Michigan Muscle Club!
We had a great showing at our mass meeting this evening! We’ll hopefully be seeing a lot of new faces working on the projects soon! Thanks to everyone who came out!
For our next #MeetTheTeamMonday we have junior in ChE, Joseph. He spends most of his time with MPEDD working to improve our Cooling Tower. Joseph serves as the Treasurer for both our team and AIChE! He is also involved with the vibrant Catholic community on campus. #mpedd
Week 2 of #MeetTheTeamMonday we have our Vice President, Elias! Elias joined his sophomore year and devoted the majority of his time to the Plug Flow Reactor team before becoming Vice President. Aside from MPEDD, Elias participates in AIChE as the Mentorship Co-Chair!
For our first #MeetTheTeamMonday we'll introduce out president, Brittany! Brittany is a senior in chemical engineering. She joined her sophomore year and was the PFR lead before becoming president. Outside of MPEDD, she is the president of Epeians and goalie for the club lax team
