Producers buy equipment to make beats in hopes of making more money than they spent.
Rappers buy beats to turn into songs in hopes of making more than they spent.
Labels buy songs to release in hopes of making more money than they spent.
If business isn’t for you, don’t do it.
If you can’t afford a beat rn, no problem. My issue is when people:
1.Say ‘I’ll give you half the royalties in exchange for the beat’ when their royalties are $0
2.Try to degrade your beats to make them seem worthless
3.Lie about what they have going on to to get free beats

If you make beats/songs, build a fanbase. Don’t get angry at your friends for not being fans/customers.
Love your friends for who they are and don’t start hating them because they’re not your marketing team. The sooner you accept this, the sooner you can focus on your career.
