Jordan and Cian Adams

Adopt a flexible approach to mealtimes. Try swapping the larger meal to lunch instead of in the evening. Offer small and often snacks instead of bigger meals. Retry foods that have previously been declined. #WithDietitiansYouCan

Currently at a Early Career Workshop and both presenters aren't using microphones arrrrrrrrgh. One refused it because she didn't want her hand movements to be restricted. Sigh.
(I'm hard-of-hearing, for those who don't know)

I'm sorry not to be at Australian Dementia Research Forum #ADRF2026 this year - it was hella weird letting the abstract deadline go by! I'll miss catching up with ADNeT EMCR Accelerator crew in person, but it's a worthy tradeoff for a bucket list trip on the Ghan with the fam 😁
Carers: For someone living with dementia, shadows can feel confusing or even frightening — sometimes like “holes” in the floor. Warm, even lighting helps movement feel safer. At night, motion‑sensor lights offer gentle reassurance with no fumbling for switches. @alzscot
Clear communication matters. When supporting someone with dementia, writing key messages down can be supportive & helpful. Try a whiteboard, a notebook or a written message for reference that can be kept in a pocket. Keep it clear & on point. #WithSLTuCan
