We are seeing a sharp rise in motor vehicle theft, specifically Lexus RX's and Toyota RAV4's. If you have one of these vehicles or have friends/family that do, please make them aware and look into the following; Steering wheel locks, immobilisers, extra trackers.
Officers arrested a known nominal for 3X Breach of Community Protection Notice and Failing to appear for shoplifting. They have been charged and await sentencing on the 31/01/2025.

Officers from Beddington and @MPSSuttonNorthE attended Beddington Park and Grove Park to conduct a weapon sweep this evening. Officers where joined by VPC Police cadets.
SNT officers have been out across the ward to counter ASB and give reassurance where it is needed. Officers will continue to provide regular patrols to prevent further ASB and crime.

Today, officers from Wallington North Safer Neighbourhood Team were at Westcroft Leisure Centre discussing hate crime, giving advice and pointing people to the relevant support and help where necessary.
On Saturday 15th June 2024, Safer Neighbourhood Officers will be supporting the London Fire Brigade on Wallington Square, Woodcote Road, demonstrating how they respond to a casualty trapped in a vehicle.

Officers have been conducting joint patrols with Carshalton Central SNT and Beddington SNT for OP ZOEDONE, detecting and preventing robberies across the wards through mobile and foot proactive work.
Beddington SNT were at the Sutton Police Station Open Day.

Officers were out getting muddy today.
There were reports of a stolen and abandoned vehicle being left on Beddington Park wetlands. After much hunting in the bush we could not find the vehicle but will continue to recover any stolen vehicles and return them to their owners.
