Officers will be installing anti-tamper screws for members of public tomorrow, Sunday June 29th.

Officers attended another community meeting focused on the safety of our local wildfowl yesterday.
Since our last meeting, several perpetrators have been identified and dealt with by police. We are glad to see the proactive attitude of our residents!

Across England there has been a rise in the deliberate injury or killing of wildlife by young people, often with the use of a catapult.

We are encouraging parents to speak with their children and prevent them from carrying catapults.

Positive #stop and search, slingshot seized! males are being dealt with accordingly.

Our officers have been in and out of the local bushes this morning, conducting weapon sweeps in the parks and green spaces of Uxbridge! We regularly patrol these spaces to ensure they are free of weapons or any other unsafe implements.

The waterways of Uxbridge ward are home to lots of wild birds and other animals. Unfortunately we have seen these animals targeted by youths with catapults recently, and we encourage anyone who witnesses this to report it via 999 right away. Help us keep our wildlife safe!

A reoccurring issue on the ward is theft from motor vehicles via an unlocked car door. According to Neighbourhood Watch, this makes up 44% of car break-ins nationally. It's a simple mistake any of us can make, so be sure to double check when you park up!
