Thanks to @PublishersWkly for this *'d review of my novel I AIN'T GOT NO HOME IN THIS WORLD ANYMORE, available Sept 04 from @MontagPress https://t.co/O2UZEQ7gon
"to concern oneself with turning a profit, much less with stressing about basic necessities of survival, was to be lowered to the status of a slave" - @theoryundrgrnd
I don't buy a lot of books anymore, but this has become a must. Kojin Karatani, The Structure of World History, is like if Graeber was structurally based and value-form pilled, instead of protest simping and horizontally cringe. 1/
@OGRoseWriting@theoryundrgrnd I've been making some long drives to deal with parents' medical issues and these gents have taken the wheel and all but brought me from Ricouerant Text to Action. Lot of catching up to do, as ever.
It is always a pleasure to speak with @theoryundrgrnd and I really appreciate both Dave and Nance. Their commitment to scholarship is inspiring:

It's important to me to thank Russell Smith from @dundurnpress, who is not only a great editor, but a great writer as well, for taking the time to host the book launch for my newest book, After The Flames, and conduct an interview with me that went very well.
"Ryan Hyatt has swiftly been establishing himself as one of the best new authors of dystopian fiction."
Thank you so much to @TonyWritesWords & @Fanbase_Press for this starred review!

@JohannesAchill Saw a few mins after Anatomy of a Fall of this Abberation in the Herdland of the Nihil, pufferied up in 70 mm, just capeshit with a veneer of austerity. Muh historical accuracy. Their English is perfect. Ridley Scott's 30th film this month but now its an EVENT.
LOT LIZARDS is finished at 9400 words. I may try to find a magazine that will publish such a long story, but more likely do so through Godless, maybe as a 2-for-1 offer with PSYCHO THERAPY, which takes place in the same world. It's been a fun ride.

#FWMurnau's #Faust tomorrow @RevueCinema and I'm getting hyped for the big day. Tailgate party in the LCBO parking lot by Dundas West Station as usual starting 6am. @JohannesAchill
My short essay at 00:45 addresses modern representations of the robot in sci-fi as manifestations of the ancient Greek and Jewish myths of Talos and the Golem. As robots become more human and humans become more robotic, maybe we will meet in the middle as cyborgs.
Pleased to announce Alien Buddha Press @thealienbuddha will be publishing my novelette, ENHANCED A HOLLYWOOD MURDER MYSTERY.
"Prepare to be enthralled by a world where artificial intelligence becomes a detective and the line between human and machine blurs in unexpected ways."
