So I'm a year and a few months late but, #InThisDecadeIWanna Get my dream job within the humanities, own my dream home, start my company, be the best posdible mother, travel South Africa and Africa then the rest of the world. I wanna publish my writing. I wanna earn my PHD.
I dream of being a woman who wakes up to go swim, run or just simply take a walk. I dream of working a job that with a healthy environment that factors in my growth. I pray that my kids are comfortable and that they never lack. I dream that I experience love and give love.
Your teeth are not the problem. Your dental routine is:
1. Brushing — never immediately after eating wait 30 minutes acid softens enamel first
2. Toothbrush — replace every 3 months never use worn bristles they clean nothing effectively
3. Brushing time — 2 minutes minimum never rush it most people brush for only 30 seconds
4. Flossing — before brushing always never after so fluoride reaches between teeth properly
5. Mouthwash — never immediately after brushing wait 30 minutes or you rinse fluoride away
6. Whitening strips — never use more than once monthly they permanently thin enamel over time
7. Tongue scraper — use every morning always bacteria on tongue causes most bad breath cases
8. Electric toothbrush — always let it do the work never scrub it causes irreversible gum recession
9. Toothpaste — pea size only never load the brush it does not clean better with more
10. Water — drink after every meal always rinses acid and sugar before they damage enamel
11. Charcoal toothpaste — never use daily it is too abrasive and permanently scratches enamel
12. Grinding — wear a night guard always grinding destroys more enamel than anything else
13. Straws — always use for acidic drinks never let lemon juice or soda touch teeth directly
14. Calcium — eat daily always teeth demineralise constantly and need consistent calcium intake
15. Dental checkup — every 6 months minimum never wait until something hurts to go
16. Vitamin D — take daily always without it calcium cannot absorb and teeth weaken fast
17. Baking soda — once weekly maximum never more it strips enamel faster than most things
18. Chewing ice — never do it it micro fractures teeth in ways that accumulate over time
19. Lip balm — keep lips moisturised always dry cracked lips lead to mouth breathing at night
Fix the routine. The teeth will fix themselves.
One of the hardest thing about the waiting season is that you never know how close or how far your breakthrough is. All you can do is pray for the staying power.
