Update! The number of killed civilians following today's russian terrorist attack on Kharkiv has now increased to 5 while the number of those wounded surpassed 50 😡! Shame on Ukraine's allies 😡! @IntlCrimCourt#RussiaTerroristState
Estonia is beginning to deploy large amount of troops to its border with Russia, along with building more bases on the border and purchasing long range American and South Korean missiles which could strike 300km into Russian territory-FT
A man’s body lies in the courtyard of a building struck by a Russian glide bomb in Kharkiv...
At least 3 people have now been confirmed killed by russian attack and 39 others injured.
Russian terrorism is constant and staggeringly cruel. It must be stopped.
“I didn’t want dogs to eat my body. The only thing I was afraid of was that my mother wouldn’t be able to bury me.”
She could have left Mariupol. But she stayed – and was taken prisoner. What she saw there, she will never forget.
Ruslana Nutsa is a senior combat medic with Ukraine’s 36th Separate Marine Brigade.
She spent her 25th birthday in captivity. She endured interrogations, abuse, and electric-shock torture. But for her, that wasn’t the most terrifying part.
“I wasn’t afraid of dying. On February 24, when I decided to stay, I understood that I could die here, and I accepted it. I’m a soldier. I’m a medic. It’s my duty.
The only thing I was afraid of was that my body would be left lying somewhere and that my mother wouldn’t be able to give me a proper burial,” she recalls.
The number of wounded kept growing. There could be ten or more a day. It was like a conveyor belt – one after another. You finished treating one, and another was already being brought in.
Then her best friend, Yaroslav, was killed. His body was brought to the plant, and she came to say goodbye.
For the last time, she held his hand, looked at him, cried, and told him everything she hadn’t managed to say while he was alive.
On April 12, 2022, she was taken prisoner. They transported them in KrAZ and Ural military trucks, like cattle.
First came Olenivka. A cell with four beds held forty women. They slept on top of one another, taking turns.
One guard saw her tattoo, grabbed her by the arms, and said: “You’re a patriot, aren’t you? Put her in solitary.”
Bread was the most precious thing – they saved every crumb. But the hardest part was hearing the screams. The men screamed and cried. She thought she would lose her mind. She wished she could go deaf so she wouldn’t have to hear anything.
Then came Taganrog. Solitary confinement. Heavy rain. Water dripping directly onto her bed. She sat down and cried.
“We weren’t allowed to speak Ukrainian. They beat us for it. They beat us for everything. I simply endured. And I kept repeating to myself a line from a poem by Vasyl Stus: ‘Endure, endure – endurance is shaping you.’ It became prophetic for me. I endured, and I survived.”
“Every day I spoke with God and with my mother. I had thoughts of suicide. What stopped me was knowing that it was the greatest sin. And I wanted to see Yaroslav again, to see my father.”
She refused to let herself think about a prisoner exchange until the very end. Only when, in the gray zone, a man wearing a blue-and-yellow ribbon spoke to them in Ukrainian – “Straighten your backs. You are home now” – did she finally believe it.
“I fell to the ground and embraced the earth. It’s impossible to explain how important it is to be in Ukraine and to be free. Anyone who hasn’t lived through this will never understand.”
After captivity, Ruslana returned to the 36th Brigade. She says that if she chose to stay in Mariupol then, there is even less reason for her to leave now.
She says:
“I don’t understand how anyone can sleep peacefully in a warm bed knowing that your people are still there. I cannot remain silent. Silence kills. And captivity kills.
Just because someone is alive in captivity today does not mean they will return alive. People are already being brought back from there as bodies. Just a body.”

Alexander Ovechkin, a propagandist for the russian terrorist state, announced he will retire from the NHL at the end of this season.
This is unlikely to stop calls for Ovechkin to immediately be fired because of his fanatical support for russia's genocidal war on Ukraine.
Ukrainian widow Liudmyla Moriak conceived a son from her killed husband's frozen cells. She took Serhii's fleece to the fertilization and the birth.
