So excited for the first of our school books for everyone visit. The public library (OWWL) outreach brought some great books! Students are picking a free book and bookmark to take home! Middle School is next on the 14th! Thank you!
Library is still a special part of school that brings back lots of memories! Tomorrow our students will attend a free book fair here and pick out a special book! No money is accepted! 😊
Memorial Day started off as Decoration Day to honor those that died during the Civil War. It changed to honor those killed in all the wars after World War I. Here are some great books to read about those sacrifices.
Reading “Free to Be Elephant Me” to Valley students! This is the One Book, OWWL Kids choice this year and we love it! If you stop by the Gorham Public Library next Thursday (March 16th) between 2-5, families can do a craft and get a FREE copy of the book!
Loved reading the shape trilogy books by @macbarnett and @burstofbeaden to the kindergarten classes. They made their shapes and guessed which shape (and tricks) should come next! Everyone is still wondering who was in that cave!
Congratulations to Dalanie in the high school for winning our 1st ever spooky story contest!! We have some great writers and our judges had a hard time choosing!
Stop in at the MS/HS libraries for a December reading advent calendar! Day 1 is drink hot cocoa while you read, and that sounds perfect on this blustery day!
Listened to this amazing interview with author John Green during my run this morning. Inspiring to hear him talk about mental health, his journey as a writer and making the world a better place.
.@johngreen’s reluctant rocket ship ride: The author and YouTuber thought his breakout bestseller wouldn’t be a commercial success, wrote 40,000 words for one sentence, and brought Steve to tears. https://t.co/VXpMmYug4q
