Congratulations to Atwater City Fire Department on their new radio equipment. They were able to purchase communication equipment with support from Merced County OES and the State Homeland Security Grant Program. This project improves in interoperability within Merced County.

HIGH FLOWS ON THE MERCED RIVER: Due to heavy rain and snow melt, flows along the Merced River have increased both above and below Lake McClure.
While no flooding is expected at this time, the high flows pose a significant danger. Please—stay safe and stay out of the Merced River.
