21.05.2026 MRD participated in a stakeholder consultation meeting organised by @KURA on the state of Syokimau and Katani roads.
MRD is most populous road after Katani holding Chiefs office, Police post, Level 4 hospital and poor road access affects liveability.

MRD ExCom met with Mwananchi road court leaders and committee members for a progress reporting and mapping of our courts.
The session was very informative and much appreciation to the residents commitment to their road.

Sadly, we inform you of the passing of Mr. Dickson K Ojwang of Bahati Court, a long time resident of MRD.
Originally from Western Kenya, but moved his rural home to Kibwezi. He passed on 29.04.2025 and will be laid to rest this Saturday 10th May in Kibwezi.

A team is to be formed with @mavokowater to ensure water connectivity to all residents. Residents to buy the pipes and mavwasco to offer technical support.
@mavokowater got representatives from all roads and informal settlements.

1/2On Airport Road: Gateway, 5 Star, Sawada and Bustani there is a 1km line
Katani road: problems because the old line cannot sustain the water pressure.

Today we held a meeting with the team of @mavokowater Mavwasco technical team headed by Eng Jesee. Highlights were the delay in last mile fresh water connection.MAVWASCO has managed to connect Beijing Road, Bluebells, Allpack industries and Olnyori. Great turn up🫂
