Rais Samia Suluhu Hassan ameagiza kuimarishwa kwa uwazi na uwajibikaji katika manunuzi ya umma, akielekeza taasisi zinazokiuka taratibu kutajwa hadharani na kuchukuliwa hatua.

Akizungumza tarehe 30 Machi, 2026, Ikulu Dar es Salaam, wakati wa kupokea Taarifa ya Mwaka ya Tathmini ya Utendaji wa Ununuzi wa Umma, Rais Samia amesema sehemu kubwa ya fedha za Serikali hutumika katika manunuzi ya umma, hivyo usimamizi madhubuti ni muhimu kulinda rasilimali za wananchi.

“Ripoti zijazo zitaje wazi taasisi zinazofanya vibaya na zinazofanya vizuri, ili kuongeza uwajibikaji na kuchukua hatua stahiki,” amesema Rais Samia.

Amesema hatua hiyo inalenga kuimarisha nidhamu ya matumizi ya fedha za umma na kuhakikisha rasilimali za Serikali zinatumika kwa manufaa yaliyokusudiwa.

The @AfCFTA Secretariat concluded a stakeholder engagement and capacity-building mission in #Eswatini, advancing implementation of the #AfCFTA Protocol on Investment.

The mission reviewed the Diagnostic Gap Analysis, discussed National Focal Points, and exchanged views on Eswatini’s #investment climate. A policy dialogue highlighted data-driven investment promotion, regulatory predictability, investor aftercare, and integrating sustainability and digitalisation for long-term competitiveness.

The programme was delivered with strong support from the Government of Eswatini, Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA), and the private sector.

The AfCFTA Secretariat today opened a three-day capacity-building workshop in Tunis, bringing together government officials, trade experts and private-sector representatives from across the continent.

The training focuses on strengthening understanding and use of the AfCFTA Dispute Settlement Mechanism and supporting State Parties to apply the Agreement with confidence.

The workshop aims to deepen technical knowledge, enhance national capacity to manage and resolve trade disputes, and strengthen institutional cooperation under the AfCFTA.
