MRWC was invited to participate at Barnum School’s Science Night this week. Powered by the spirited support of many volunteers, 11 engaging activity stations - curated to inspire scientific inquiry in students from kindergarten and up - were enthusiastically enjoyed by all. 1/3

Barnum School serves students in grades K through 8 in Bridgeport. The event was held in collaboration with partner organizations CORR, GWB, and Stantec, an engineering firm hired to revitalize the yellow mill area in Bridgeport for public access and habitat protection.

The Mill River Wetland Committee visited WFC for a student lab. Students viewed phyto and zooplankton and learned about how these organisms support the health of our water. The lesson was funded through the Long Island Sound grant through @UConn and CT Sea Grant.
This year the Secretary General of the Convention on Wetlands @MumbaMusondam is set to celebrate World Wetlands Day in India, highlighting the nation's dedication to wetland conservation.
