@htafc@stillsmilingpod Unfortunately it’s good news. There’s a player there and his goals to minute ratio, when fit, is actually pretty decent. But sadly, his inability to stay fit will be how he’s remembered at Town.
@htafc@stillsmilingpod I’ll support him until I’m given reason not to do so. What I do feel is a non-negotiable, however, is that he adds some experience to his backroom staff.
It’s another bold appointment at another crucial juncture, but I wish him well and hope he can deliver the goods.

Speaking to @sportbbcwm after his appointment as Walsall head coach, Lee Grant has opened up on his time at Huddersfield Town following his sacking by the club in January.

It wasn’t without its faults, but Drury and Stead did get somewhat of a tune out the group that had underperformed under Grant and Manning previously. Lots of work to do, but the foundations may have been laid for them to build upon what they started.

If it’s to be Drury then it’s to be Drury. I’ll get behind him and the team until they give me reason not to. Exciting? Not massively, but I don’t think many mentioned names have been to this point. Experienced staff in the dugout beside him is vital.

Honestly, it’s incredible. Livramento, Spence, Stones, Quansah, Burn, Henderson, Madueke and Toney should be absolutely nowhere near it.
I’m put off before we’ve even kicked off!
🤢🚮
Mystified at the apparent omissions of Foden, Palmer and Maguire in particular. Yet Madueke, Gordon and Dan Burn are getting gigs? Lots to dislike about the impending squad announcement.

This is a terrible outcome. If guilty, then a fine and a points deduction ahead of next season is surely the correct route? Removing them from a play-off final they’ve earned the right to be in is not.
If Boro go up now, it makes an absolute mockery of the game.
An Independent Disciplinary Commission has today expelled Southampton from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs after the Club admitted to multiple breaches of EFL Regulations related to the unauthorised filming of other Clubs’ training.
In addition, the Club has received a four-point deduction that will be applied to the 2026/27 Championship table.
The effect of today’s order is that Middlesbrough are reinstated into the 2026 Play-Offs and will proceed to the Play-Off Final against Hull City. The final remains scheduled for Saturday 23 May, with the kick-off time to be confirmed.

@neilmurphy5@htafc@sbk I take your point, Neil, and agree to some extent. The season didn’t end today, Tuesday or last Saturday, it ended long before in the previous 41. But in isolation, the last 3 games I’m struggling to pick too much fault with. Still fragile but created and scored ample, battled.
@Jamie__1739 Would imagine it’s just a temporary position, and he may be fully qualified to do the job, but was just a genuine query as to his leap from social media to, essentially, temporary CEO!
Genuine question, and absolutely not digging out DTS here, but what’s his experience when it comes to running a football club, day to day? How does the former social media man make it to the position he’s found himself in?
#htafc
@JamesEl08399932 And that’s absolutely fine if so. I wasn’t bashing him, just wondered how one would progress from a social media role to an overseeing the entire running of the club role!
@Lambypie_ I’m sure it is, mate. Just wondered how qualified he was to fulfil the role. He may have everything he needs, I genuinely don’t know. I just couldn’t figure how the former Twitter man had made it to the position he’s currently in!
