Healthcare workers deliver an essential service and have always 'sacrificed' to ensure uninterrupted essential healthcare to the public.
It is the fundamental ethical responsibility of the state to provide full and timely compensation. Forcing them to work extra hours without fair overtime pay is an ethical violation and constitutes forced labor.
