Have to say that was the most exciting and nerve-wracking game of cricket I've ever seen! Some nervous moments but a brilliant result for England.

Just watched @TheRepairShop with the boys (a special with King Charles focusing on apprenticeships and passing skills on from father to son). Gives me a warm glow to think that one day I'll teach them about spreadsheets...
It's #worldbookday today and as I'm normally hopeless at promoting mine I thought I should join in.
Think I've had that globe since I was 11. Interesting to see how countries have changed...
Embarrassing moment watching son swim. Put my headphones on and saw #Josephandhistechnicolourdreamcoat on my phone. Thought, why not. But it was really quiet.
Volume up, no joy.
Up to max but still very faint.
Lifted headphones to discover they're not connected. Sorry everyone 😳
My gran died 12 years ago and I've just been told she was a welder during the war. Never heard that before and it's very hard to imagine. Ever been told something about a relative after they've gone? So wish I could chat to her about it.
If pirate adventures, swordfights and hunting for treasure is your thing, book 2 of Storm is out now! Perfect for ages 9-14. Or buy both books in the series for only £10.98, what a barrrgain*.
*Pirate puns not included in the book itself...

Phew. I'm close to publishing book 4, but woke up at 3am this morning with a much better idea for the ending. Spent an hour scribbling notes, then this evening rewrote the last two chapters (plus a few tweaks to earlier bits). Far happier with it now #listentoyourdreams
The potential of this technology is exciting. I'm not great at promoting my books but if you want to read about how solar farming works in layman's terms, with the added excitement of a murder mystery in space then Murder on the Moon could be for you 🌖

@missmelosborne No! I know imperial measurements annoy me more than they should but it's way past time for ditching them. Always feels like we're stuck in the past when you go abroad then come back to Britain. Ludicrous to still be using two systems,we should switch to metric and be done with it
Congratulations to the relay team 'MALT with water' who have completed their relay swim in a time of 11hrs and 33mins (unratified). Well done to the team and all on board Viking Princess II

Time to go for a swim...
I'm sure you'll be pleased to hear I'm going with the banana speedos. This channel swimming is serious business.

Day 3 of the European camping holiday and we're on to the second campsite. The boys are in trouble because all the shampoo appears to have been left in Belgium. I'm not 100% convinced it wasn't me who left it but am keeping quiet and just shaking my head sadly in the background..
@WappingWharfBS1@UmbersladeGroup Brief for the architects: draw an ugly tower block, slap a load of green on the outside and hope no one notices...
It's a shame as this is such a vibrant area currently. This will kill the atmosphere. Presumably the developers know that and have asked for 12 knowing they'll get 8
