The MonsterVerse has suffered two heartbreaking losses just eight days apart 💔
Kaylee Hottle passed away on July 21 at only 18 years old. The young Deaf actress made her film debut as Jia in Godzilla vs. Kong before returning in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Her heartfelt performance and authentic use of sign language made her a fan favorite and an inspiring representative for the Deaf community in mainstream cinema.
Sam Neill passed away on July 13 at the age of 78. The beloved Jurassic Park legend had joined the cast of Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, scheduled for release in 2027, which will now feature one of his final posthumous performances.
Though their journeys were very different, both became part of the same cinematic universe and left an impact that will live beyond the screen.
Rest in peace, Kaylee Hottle and Sam Neill. Thank you for the memories and unforgettable performances ❤️🕊️
