Congratulations to our Sunday U18’s who won the @Liverpool_CFA Cup final at Everton Ladies ground Wednesday night against Burscough
Under pressure throughout but dug deep against a very good @BurscoughFC1946 side
Goal on 20 mins gave Woolton the lead through Alfie
Burscough scored either side of half time to give them 2-1 lead, only for Gav Millett to get on the end of a free kick on the hour to nod in the equaliser
MOM John Woodhall saved a Burscough penalty soon after to keep parity with the woodwork saving us right at the end to take it to penalties
John stepped up again saving the first 2 Burscough pens, leaving it for Mamadou Gueye to calmly score the winning penalty 👏 4-3
Congratulations to Ste, the management team and all the lads on a great achievement 🏆👏

Half Time in the @Liverpool_CFA Sunday Cup final and an injury time goal for Burscough gives us a 1-1 score line at the break
Goal on 20 mins by Alfie gave us an initial lead in the game
1-1
⚪️🔵 Weekend Roundup | Disappointing day all round, as all 3 teams lost on Saturday
1sts lost 4-2 to Maghull in the NWCFL Playoffs Semi Final at Jericho Lane
We didn’t get going, with Maghull taking an early lead…and taking that 1-0 lead in to HT
Maghull grabbed a second from a corner, with a bullet header in to the top corner before Sean stabbed one home to get us back in the game… That belief was short lived as Maghull got a third from the penalty spot… Lads kept on going and Joe H got a second for 3-2
As we pushed for an equaliser, in added time, Maghull hits us on the break to seal their deserved win overall
Not our day and we wish Maghull well in the final next weekend
Elsewhere, the reserves lost 4-1 to GTA and u21 lost 5-1 to Long Lane
Reserves have just one game to go, with a few more in to May for U21 and U23’s
