Provides life-enhancing support services to all patients with sickle cell disease living in the Boston community. Local chapter of @SCDAAorg #SickleCell
It's Official! We are changing our name from Greater Boston Sickle Cell Disease Association to Massachusetts Sickle Cell Association. This new name accurately reflects our beliefs, goals, the people we are prioritizing & the work we are doing throughout the state.

With #WorldSickleCellDay coming up on June 19, the Editas team is honored to listen and learn from Jacqueline Haley, Executive Director at @MSCAssoc, as she shares why this day is so important and offers inspiration to get involved.
#ShinetheLightonSickleCell
The @MSCAssoc is hosting their Advocacy Day tomorrow. Although sickle cell disease (SCD) is the world’s most common genetic disease, the number of physicians trained and willing to treat patients with SCD is low. Additionally, SCD has a disparate impact on Black people.
I am proud to be the first legislator to ever secure money in the state budget for @MSCAssoc. I also proudly filed amendment #1317 to the budget this year which would provide $250,000 to the Association. Ask your legislator to sign on to this amendment today!

Impressed by the scholarship awardees at the Red Ribbon Gala and @MSCAssoc for the dedication with which they strive to make a difference for sickle cell patients. Doing our part @CReM_Boston and @The_BMC Center for Excellence in #SickleCellDisease to contribute to that mission.
Happy September!
September is #SickleCellAwarenessMonth! Let us be intentional about raising awareness this month! We are still in need of more research and treatment for SCD. Continue to educate others and spread the word! #SickleCellMatters
