Moving two 63-tonne power transformers from India to Gabon ⚡️🇬🇦

This project cargo shipment transported two 63-tonne power transformers from Nhava Sheva, India, via Lomé, Togo, before they were safely discharged in Libreville, Gabon.

The transformers will support the expansion of power infrastructure in Gabon and the Republic of the Congo, helping expand access to affordable electricity across the region.

Opening a new gateway to northern Mozambique ⚓🇲🇿

We're introducing the Afungi Shuttle, a new feeder service connecting Afungi with Nacala and Maputo.

The service was developed to support the growing economic activity in northern Mozambique and help transport construction materials, machinery, industrial equipment, spare parts and other cargo required for the LNG project in Afungi.

With the dedicated feeder connections from Nacala and Maputo, the Afungi Shuttle connects northern Mozambique to MSC's global network.

Project cargo on display at Breakbulk Europe 2026 ⚓🚆💛

From 16-18 June, MSC will be in Rotterdam for Breakbulk Europe, bringing one of our recent rail transport operations from Antwerp to Alexandria to life.

The project involved the shipment of nine railcars, each weighing up to 40 tonnes and measuring 22 metres in length, destined for Cairo’s expanding metro network. It’s part of a larger operation that will move 495 railcars between 2025 and 2028. At our stand, visitors can explore a scaled railcar model and learn more about the planning, precision and expertise behind the move.

On Tuesday 16 June, Axel van Pul, Regional Head of Project Cargo – Europe & Mediterranean, will join a panel discussion on fleet capacity across the breakbulk and project cargo industry.

Last week in Kigali, our team joined business leaders, policymakers and partners from across the continent to discuss trade, infrastructure and what's next for Africa in the global economy.

Nicolas Sartini, Senior Vice President, Business Development at MSC, took part in a panel discussion on how Africa can strengthen its position within evolving global supply chains.
