As networks become AI-native, they serve as critical infra for enabling next-gen connected AI experiences, from the cloud to the edge. 6G accelerates the change, by reimagining networks as intelligent platforms that combine connectivity, sensing, and high-performance computing
6G will be critical infrastructure for AI.
@Qualcomm joined industry leaders at #MWC26 on a milestone-driven roadmap toward commercial 6G starting in 2029, with standards, validation and pre-commercial demos in 2028.

Interesting to watch what Microsoft is doing at #MWC26 this week.
While plenty of the buzz on the show floor is about shiny devices and wild prototypes, Microsoft is quietly focusing on the engine room of the AI era: the infrastructure telcos will actually need to run it.
The big themes seem clear:
• AI for telecom operations — using AI to automate networks, optimize performance, and simplify the chaos of running massive telecom infrastructure.
• Edge + sovereign cloud — enabling operators to run AI workloads locally and securely where data sovereignty or latency really matters.
• AI-RAN and intelligent networks — embedding AI deeper into the radio network so it can adapt, optimize, and operate more autonomously.
• Enterprise connectivity — tighter integration between Windows, devices, and 5G to make connectivity smarter for enterprise users.
The takeaway: Microsoft isn’t here trying to win the gadget game.
They’re positioning Azure and their AI stack as the operating system for the next generation of telecom networks.
Not the flashiest story at MWC… but probably one of the most important.
