@carinateaches@globeandmail Oufff this was a good one! I am definitely going to be writing about my teaching career and the school system once I retire, 5 years to go. I wasn't counting the years down but I find myself caught in that countdown trap out of sheer exhaustion. Hugs for posting this🤗❤
Better late than never. Digital Citizenship virtual presentations coming your way🙂🥰did I mention my great 8s are LIFE🙂Shout out to our new principal Ms. Ferguson, who continues to spotlight our accomplishments @YCDSB@BSIycdsb@WigstonJennifer@laurasawicky
End of the week check-ins mean so much to me. It's so important to me that I know how my students are feeling about their learning experience 😍I love them so much🙂
Educators need to go beyond checking our bias. We need to check B.D.A.—Evaluate how our Bias Determined our Actions towards students. Then apologize. But apologize because we were wrong...not to earn forgiveness. It’s not on them to forgive us. It’s on us to change and do better!
Teachers should not have to work well beyond contracted hours (unpaid) just to get things done. Then we wonder why there is a 50% attrition every 5 years. This year will be off charts if we don’t change expectations. We need state and district leaders to step up for teachers.
