@charlieINTEL I actually really liked the immersion from MWII's weighty and momentous control scheme.
Being all floaty, speedy, and try-hardy is too vapid and easy-to-digest, you become numb to it quick.
MWII, RE4 (2005), SOCOM, and Killzone had that immersion and "satisfying kill" feeling.
@CallofDuty All I care is about playing the game. Grind, winning, losing, low kills, high kills, it's all par for the course.
SBMM — I really don't care about the whole divisiveness surrounding it. Just do what you need, COD, to make a quality experience.
And NO cheaters/hackers, COD.
@CallofDuty This looks good but sounds horrible.
Couldn't you guys have used music that leaned more on the ominous, forboding, and stern side of things?
The festive, and party-like song used here really undermines all of that killing and mayhem shown. It's performative, not complimentary.
@CallofDuty@InfinityWard Please have darker environments. Disregard "player visibility" (it's part of the immersion), overcast and somber gritty environments compliment the badass nature of COD. Just look at BO2, and especially BO1 's graphics and locations.
(And please choose better music for vids.)
@InfinityWard Dunn is in the right. Rap is LAME — don't just listen to Heavy Metal, but Industrial Metal!
Fear Factory's Demanufacture album will change your perception of what it means to feel like a badass from beginning to end.
Industrial Metal! Fear Factory, Ministry, Rammstein, NIN, MM.
@DETONATEDcom@Mr_Rebs_ Halo is done. MS just needs to put that game to rest — too many FPS gamers have moved on.
Seriously? Space with bright colors, sunny environments, toonish enemies, sprite-y weapons, power ranger-looking green marine. What's the appeal of Halo anymore?
Nobody cares. It's done.
@InfinityWard@BeenoxTeam Bright and sunny environments are getting old.
The overcast and grey environments, like the one seen in the DMZ preview, are badass, industrial, somber, just cool in general.
Please just keep the sunny stuff to a minimum. (It's psychological too — the sun sucks.)
@CallofDuty Please don't let Valeria be around long. She's overrated.
(And that "Don't underestimate me."/overconfidence trope is so overdone, if not annoying.)
@charlieINTEL Nah, I played MW2 (2009) to death. (Remastered Campaign counts too). I'm fatigued of hearing, seeing, reminded of it vividly.
MW3 (2011).
@charlieINTEL Black Ops 7.
That game is too sunny, bright, colorful. The campaign was absurd.
Black Ops 1 & 2 reminds us what makes Call of Duty feel so badass and hardcore, and 7 is the product of trying to be appealing to a mass audience instead of recognizing their key demographic.
