🚨 EV FIRE INCIDENT IN CHINA
A serious electric vehicle accident has raised fresh safety concerns after a Dongfeng Voyah 007 EV crashed and caught fire in Yunnan, China, on March 19, 2025.
According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle ignited almost instantly after impact, while the doors reportedly jammed shut, trapping passengers inside. Bystanders rushed to the scene and smashed the windows to rescue those trapped.
Three passengers seated in the rear survived, but tragically, the front passenger could not be saved.
In response to the incident and growing safety concerns, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced new regulations on Monday:
