Trump delivered what was expected to be a closing pitch to voters ahead of Election Day

He spoke @ length about the reflecting pool, not getting to the midterms until 20 mins in — & he made no mention of any GOP candidates. w/ @MSPaulaReid @jake__traylor

Linda Mason represented the absolute best of @CBSNews. We were introduced when I started there in 2010 and she was a kind and thoughtful mentor as I began my journalism career. I was in awe of all she had accomplished at a time when women were not always welcome. She will be deeply missed. ❤️

The first female producer of 'CBS Evening News,' and one of the network’s first-ever female news producers, has died. https://t.co/y30F0EH7ye

Why is the White House pushing slopaganda? Why are Republicans and dark money groups spending hundreds of millions on it in the midterms? Because its easy, and cheap, and it works. My new deep dive for MS NOW: https://t.co/nXbRPojE1G

NEW: After his breakup with Donald Trump, Elon Musk said he had “done enough” to donate to Republicans.

Since making amends, he’s opening up his wallet again to help the GOP after seeing a surge in his wealth since 2024. https://t.co/UpcLtcrN7g

@MSNOWComms @MSNOWNews Hardest assignment so far is changing these social handles….working on it while I wear the proud CNN alum title for a few more days.

[Paula Reid @MSPaulaReid]

@AndrewFeinberg Thanks, Andrew. Changing the handle had proven to the most challenging part of the job so far…..

U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly granted a temporary restraining order immediately reinstating White House access to journalists working for MS NOW, CNN and Politico. The ruling is a victory for news organizations fighting to cover a president who has repeatedly lashed out at the media.

The Trump White House is pointing to the Obama administration’s clashes with Fox News as it defends President Trump’s decision to ban CNN, MS NOW and Politico from White House grounds. CBS News’ Major Garrett, who covered the Obama White House for Fox News, recounts his experience and a key difference: “At no time, though, was my White House press credential seized.”

[Brian Stelter @brianstelter]

This moment really isn't just about CNN, MS NOW or Politico. Trump's ban "is a direct assault on the First Amendment and a blatant violation of due process," said @BoutrousTed, the First Amendment attorney who has been retained by the three newsrooms. https://t.co/1A8SsDz3R1

Former WHCA pres here, joining former board colleagues in sharing some thoughts—

For half a century, it’s been the holding of federal courts that it’s not “special” access when the WH generally opens its doors to journalists. Choose-your-news is a freedom the constitution grants to the American people, not to their government.
