[GEEARS: GA Early Ed Alliance for Ready Students @GEEARS]

Yesterday, community partners attended the Mayor’s Summer Reading Club’s pre-season training. This favorite annual event introduced the group to “Dinosaur!” this summer’s original picture book.

Participants channeled their inner kids as they dreamed up creative programming for summer events centered around this story. They also explored “Dinosaur’s” READ guide, which will help them maximize the literacy benefits of their read-alouds.

Over the weekend, Layla Latimore, the teen author of this year’s @MSRC_ATL book selection, shared her board book at a joyous Library Dads gathering at the Wolf Creek Library. It was great to see fathers get together, along with their little ones, to “Build lifetime bonds. Create lifetime readers!" @PublishingYoung
