Rutuja works on film history, early cinema, modernity and region, at the intersection of gender and caste/class. She’d like to be known as film historian and is a closeted food historian.

April is a 3rd year PhD student researching contemporary poetry, environmental humanities, indigenous and black feminisms, and queer/trans ecologies. Beyond research, she prefers time outdoors, preferably near water or in forests.
