The African elephant-(Loxodonta africana) was our species for my BEAM group project. Inteterested in ontogenetic dietary partitioning, we sampled Adult and Subadults, uing 1min Scan-sampling for 30min on herds and or individuals.

Zebra-(Equus quagga) have stripes for antipredation from Tabadnid flies. It was long thought that the stripes functioned as predation-confusion effect for their main predators: lions.

Here is the Nubian Giraffe-(Giraffa leo). They are the most endangered species of Giraffe. Here in Lake Nakuru, they were transplanted here from south sudan for conservation efforts.

Dik-diks are small antelopes that favor bushy habitat with lots of cover. They get all the water they need from their food, rarely drinking. They are one of the smallest antelopes, with females (which are larger) on average only weighing 5.5kg (12.1 lb)!

Secretary birds are an iconic, striking species that lives across most of sub-Saharan Africa. It has recently been up-listed to Endangered on the IUCN Red List, possibly due to habitat degradation, disturbance, and hunting and capture by humans.
Yellow-billed storks like these catch fish by putting their bill in the water and moving slowly. Once they feel a fish brush past, they snap it up!

Vervet monkeys are omnivorous and very opportunistic, eating whatever is available. Unfortunately, this can lead to the monkeys damaging crops and making a mess of human homes. At least they’re cute!

African fish eagles are large birds of prey that live near both freshwater and alkaline bodies of water. They mostly eat fish, but occasionally eat waterfowl, even species as big as flamingo!

With the African Lion (Panthers Leo) young individuals have spots for Disruptive camouflage to keep them hidden from threats. However what if the spots also allow young lions to opportunistically hunt like the African leopard (Panthera pardus)? B.H
Some Ungulates like Waterbuck (Kobus ellipsiprymnus) form Bachelor herds. A bachelor herd is an all-male group, that provides heightened Antipredation and heightened protection against inter and intra specific competition. B.H
