The MSU rice field day will be Aug. 8, at 3:30. in the Capps Center in Stoneville. Topics will include agronomy, economics, entomology, pathology, breeding, and weed control, and field tours. The day will conclude with a reception that will be held at Delta Council at 5:45.
MSU Extension is surveying (go to https://t.co/QDXRtNH3B7) to estimate cash expenses associated with the Backwater Flood. It provides info on costs associated with the flood not included in other loss estimates. For assistance with the survey, see your local Extension office.
Dr. Steve Martin will serve as interim head at DREC. Martin is a former DREC and N MS R&E center head. He then accepted a full-time faculty position at MSU as the Ext. Asso. Dir in 2015. He will serve in his current Ext. Asso. Dir role while managing his DREC responsibilities.
