Joint Ops | Integrated Sea-Air Medical Evacuation

On receipt of information from #MRCC #SriVijayaPuram, #ANC swiftly coordinated a challenging #MedicalEvacuation during the intervening night of 20–21 Sep 26, involving a 36-year-old #Bangladeshi national onboard merchant vessel #AMRIS, who sustained severe head & spinal injuries following a fall onboard.

Despite rough seas and darkness, an Indian Coast Guard ship reached the merchant vessel, safely embarked the injured crew member and transported him to #Diglipur Harbour. In a seamless continuation of the coordinated response, an Indian Navy #ALH airlifted the casualty to #SriVijayaPuram around midnight, braving extremely adverse weather conditions, enabling timely medical intervention.

The casualty was subsequently shifted to #GBPantHospital for further medical care.

The seamless sea-air response by #ANC underscores its unwavering commitment to #MaritimeSafety and #SavingLivesAtSea.
