In the presence of both Heads of State, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, and Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade of the UAE, signed this partnership, establishing a competitive pathway into the UAE.

With tariff elimination on over 7,000 products and access to 108 service sectors, CEPA is not just symbolic but a strategic instrument for economic transformation.

Nigeria is open for business, and Nigerian businesses now have open access to the UAE, the Middle East and the rest of the world.

The NNPCL Debt write-off is a form of corporate restructuring that allows the company to focus on its mandate as a commercial operator rather than being weighed down by historical "agency" debts incurred when it was acting more as a government department than a business.

Does Obi want a company that is working hard to be listed on the NGX to remain burdened with debts??

I don’t think Obi, who wants to be President of Nigeria has ever once read the PIA.

The NNPC debt write-off by the President and the follow-up comment from Peter Obi is another reason why he must be far away from the Nigerian presidency as much as possible.

Zero understanding of the issues.

I mean, is there no one in the circle that could explain the economic impact of having NNPC listed on the stock exchange to him and why the debt cancellation would hasten that process?

Is there no one in the camp to remind him that the Federal Government, at some point, was also owing NNPC and what has been done is to reconcile those debts and have everyone on the same page?

The least Peter Obi’s handlers could do is to keep quiet, learn and watch when economic decisions are taken by President Tinubu who has proven, over and over again, that he has a better grasp of the issues in Nigeria.

To keep them busy, they can always latch on to the issues of insecurity and other flashpoint events in the country but for the sake of all of us, dabbling into serious economic matters exposes much of his ignorance. Time to start considering shutting up in some instances 🥂🥂.
