New laws have been proposed by the State Government requiring motorists passing towing or roadside assistance vehicles with amber flashing lights to slow down to 25km/h.

The proposed changes follow more than 5 years of MTA calls to the State Government for this safety reform.

This morning I had the pleasure of meeting Eliza.

Eliza is a second year apprentice at Southgate Automotive and today she joined me in unveiling the next exiting step for the Tonsley Tech College, in partnership with @Flinders.

The training program gives our young people the opportunity to engage in practical learning.

The 4 industry pathways for students at Tonsley Tech College will be:

🚗 Automotive/Energy
🔨 Building & Construction
🧑🏼‍🏭 Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering
👩🏼‍⚕️ Health & Social Support

Opening in 2025 the Tonsley Tech College will also have strong industry partnerships with @MTAofSANT & @MBASA_News to ensure students go straight from school into employment in their chosen industry.
