#OTD April 15, 1900 - Cycling champ Major Taylor’s younger sister Gertrude died of tuberculosis at age 19. Anxious to have a proper home for her when she was ill, Major had bought a house on Hobson Ave. in Worcester in January. In her will, Gertrude left her furniture to Major.
