The Huskers have a full roster for the game against Illinois on 9/20, but we could use a few more players on our team. Can you and a friend or family member volunteer for a 90-minute shift one week from today?

It's a huge flex to volunteer for Huskers Helping the Homelesss! Thanks to Husker Student Athletes Isaiah Garcia-Castaneda (#13) and Elliott Brown (#41) for showing us how it's done. πͺπ
We need you to get in the game! @Huskers

It was great having the @HuskerFootball Team here serving lunch today. Bonus was seeing them in this year's Huskers Helping the Homeless t-shirts. Go Big Red!

Herbie's favorite food is corn and luckily it was on the menu! Volunteers are needed for Huskers Helping the Homeless 9/19 - 9/21. (Just a 90-minute shift and don't worry Husker Nation, you'll be done in time to go to or watch the game!) https://t.co/cVHfxlUQg7

Last week we housed someone who had been sleeping on the streets. He fell asleep at 2 pm and slept until 6 am. 16 hours of sleep. Safe. In a bed. In a quiet and cool place. This work is hard, impactful, and hopeful. And we are here for it, for as long as we are needed. #LNK
This month we celebrate our LGBTQIA+ friends, guests, and loved ones. Know that whoever you are, you can be you when you walk through our doors and you can count on us to create an environment where you are respected, supported, and have a sense of belonging. We are a safe place.
Lunch today was fried rice, homemade eggrolls, chicken & vegetable soup, and fresh fruit. We served 100+ people but couldn't come up with a way to measure the amount of love that went into the prep and serving of the meal. We'll just say it was a lot. Thank you, volunteers. π§‘
This little guy is helping us celebrate Juneteenth with a history lesson on his t-shirt and the joy and hope on his face.
Today we stand together, reflecting on how far weβve come and the work still ahead.

Beat this heat! Come to Matt Talbot to cool down, hydrate, and get some lunch and dinner. We usually close on Thursday afternoons for street outreach and team meetings but due to the high temps, we will keep the dining room open and staffed today. Here until 6:30 pm!
In need of assistance but having a hard time getting to our facility on North 27th Street? Staff will be at First Presbyterian Church to offer help accessing food, hygiene items, and other resources. Use the main office entrance on 17th St., near the bus stop. All are welcome.
Brian and Deb are smiling because Tom came to thank them for helping him get his birth certificate ($17) and a state ID ($24). Those 2 vital identification documents helped Tom achieve his goal of getting a full-time job after being unhoused for 4 years.https://t.co/oTMys3oMeW
