I just saw a player, who travelled 8+ hours to Tokyo from another country for GOFest, say they didn’t try very hard because GOFest just wasn’t interesting enough. You really can’t make this stuff up—why are so many players so eager to seem like they hate this game so much? 🙄😂
@vermillionzac0 Of course! However, it’s a bit silly to travel internationally to play every day of an event (with impressive results) just to suggest you didn’t try very hard (even though the results suggest you did). Nothing wrong with taking it slow, but that wasn’t really what I was meant!
@notmarshit Added from Polar! Will open and send gifts most days of the week and will invite you to raids somewhat often as well (I live on a gym). Happy to stay on until Forever Friends!
@fastNcurious25@plziest_ I’ve been to in-person GOFests. When players are posting stats that include 30k+ catches and 500+ shinies in 5-7 days, I have a hard time believing they really didn’t enjoy the event. I also have a hard time believing many of those players won’t attend another in-person event.
@elsonrs147 I agree communicating first is ideal if it’s possible! But I think some people have unfortunately taken their concern about the “quality” of the Pokémon their Forever Friends are offering too far.
It finally happened to me 😭 I’m not a fan of the negativity around remote trades, but this is so disheartening after all the gifts and weekly challenges we exchanged/completed to get to Forever Friends 😔 #PokemonGO
