@CoryGrad_LCSW@JonathanShedler I feel like that has been my area of least awareness. Some clients I have actually been able to discern the rupture and other times, I didn't actually know one existed until they just ghosted.
I have a petition against animal cruelty, especially the dog wang wang from China. There were four Chinese boys who tortured the dog by beating the dog and her puppies and burning her alive. I understand that you might not cover this. https://t.co/7x5C6FVdtJ
@krassenstein
You should cover brutality against animals. This happened in China. You might could research how often males in China abuse animals and their laws surrounding animal abuse.
Here is a petition, but it shows what happened. https://t.co/7x5C6FVdtJ

@DoritoBoland85 @volkava85 @pride_husky@psypharmacopeia I wasn't trying to imply movement not being good practice, but rather that what we do depends on the philosophy we hold.
I remember reading in a Gestalt oriented book that eventually they therapist learns to sit in the sadness rather than push with movement.
@DoritoBoland85 @volkava85 @pride_husky@psypharmacopeia I mean if the goal is not to get them moving, then I guess both people sit in the depression together. That might help if the person finds whatever they are looking for, but I guess that's the difference between the different schools.
@DerekRyanGross@jordanticus I guess what I'm thinking, I'm certain you can get someone to admit they want to be a good parent. So then you just emphasize that they do that instead of obeying the thought.
But it doesn't work with how it feels to them. The meaning of the situation.
@DerekRyanGross@jordanticus This seems like the time and place. I absolutely love ACT when I came across it, but from what you said.. Is that not a functional equivalent of just ignore the thought and keep moving?
@indybuddhist@SophiaCycles I think for me, I think of something like ADHD in Children. Never sits still. Maybe can sustain attention on a task for a few minutes and then off to the next novel experience.
I don't know if chasing novelty will help or just reinforce what already happens.
@jordanticus I think i understand what you mean. If we didn't have these different brands, we would all be unified. There wouldn't be no psychodynamic vs cbt or anything. Just a shared understanding of what works and is effective.
@AntonChikin6x@StevenCHayes Just to add to your question and in the vein of EFT, what about transformation of Emotion? I feel like your question is mainly shouldn't we go one step further than acceptance and observation.
